Hydro Jetting (Up to 72")
Hydro Jetting – What is a jetter?
A Hydro Jetter utilizes high pressured water to scour the inside of a pipe, clearing out and cutting through debris in your sewer line. This process typically takes place by accessing a cleanout, which is an opening found in most homes that by design allows for access to remove debris and clear clogs. Most of Lovett’s Jetters are trailer mounted, holding a tank of water, a quality high pressure hose, nozzles and the machine which pressurizes the system , providing for one powerful cleaning machine on wheels.
In order to clean the sewer line out entirely we start by pushing the hydro jetting nozzle until it reaches the end of your system, this is where we actually begin the cleaning. As we work the Jetter, by pulling it back towards the cleanout, the water pressure cleans the pipe, allowing for an unobstructed pipe where the washed up debris can exit the line and continue heading downstream.
Hydro Jetting is called for on those stubborn drains, perhaps they have severe root intrusions or a heavy buildup of materials has accumulated over time to cause back-ups. Hydro Jetting is a logical step after traditional drain cleaning methods such as snaking have failed to correct the symptom. A video camera inspection, aka a sewer scope is recommended once the line has been thoroughly cleaned by a Jetter, making it possible to now determine the severity of the symptom that has been causing grief.
